Mumbai Police Cyber Shield

The Cyber Shield Project was launched on 7th February, 2024 by Hon. Commissioner of Police, Greater Mumbai, Shri. Vivek Phansalkar. This initiative focuses on enhancing Mumbai’s cybercrime response by training 1,000 additional personnel and strengthening cyber awareness and prevention measures.

Under this project, the Cyber Police issues advisories to parents, schools, colleges, housing societies, offices and the public, addressing various types of cyber fraud, including: • Digital Arrest • Share Market Scams • Task Job/Part Time/Online Job Frauds • KYC Frauds • Lottery Scams • Credit/Debit Card Frauds • OLX Scams • Electricity Bill Scams • Social Media Frauds • Instant Loan Scams • Sextortion • Task Job/part Time/Online Job Frauds • Matrimonial Scams

Citizens are urged to remain vigilant and report cybercrimes immediately by dialling the 1930 Cyber Helpline or visiting cybercrime.gov.in for assistance. Be Alert, Be Aware.
